JUST FOR HER...

SO YOU SAY THAT CRICKET IS RELIGION IN INDIA...

and as a natural corollary, there should be no discrimination wrt to differnt religions, as we are secular...

but being a society where there are numerous institutions and parameters of discrimination, here is a recent one...

Yesterday,i was listening to news on AIR when i listened that MITALI RAJ, topped ICC ranking in international women cricket, and i was happy, though not mad about cricket. day passed and i as usual was logged into Facebook for considerable time till late night, and visited IE,TH and news.google as routine but  that news report was missing. Facebook enthusiasts who share all type of irresponsible propaganda and photos and tag unnecessarily were silent. Even the most updated cricket enthusiasts and who treat  it as their life were silent. when it was IPL, they updated every increase in score as it seemed that their personal wealth was inflating...at a point of time even i had to search my authenticity of hearing and AIR's reporting, which i later found true...

but this was a girl and that in cricket so you bypass the whole event, had it been UTHAPPA, YUVRAJ OR RAINA...praises would have been sung and aarti's composed. 

i waited for morning to let my thought getting defeated by mainstream print media and to my disgust, (but i was expecting that), even HINDU, EXPRESS didn't mention it and out of curiosity i had to scan atleast 3 times, just to authenticate my stand. similar fate is of other female events... 

you ask people about vijender singh, they will tell you that he is a boxer, then ask about MC marycom and see their expression (off-course they are updated and educated)...add to it:- Saina has to play as per agreement between Bhupathi and Paes, till which limit you will accept subordination...

the issue is not about media space or popularity, it is just reflection of our deep biased attitude towards females which, inadvertently or deliberately, had shadowed every field including print and electronic media and its recent avatar- social media.

if Sachin can be god, then why not Diana Eduljee or Mitali be goddess... though i oppose any kind of idolization of either sex...

but yes, give equity, it is her right and she should assert it...

yes, there is a hope...

AISA HOTA HAI, TO HOTA KYU HAI...

जगजीत सिंह साहब की एक लोकप्रिय गजल “कोई ये तो बताए......ऐसा होता है तो ये होता क्यू है”...

कभी- 2 ये नजमे अपनी ज़िंदगी से इतना मेल खाती है की लगता है खुद अपने लिए ही लिखी गयी है...किनही प्रश्नो के उत्तर मन तलाशा करता है और उनका जवाब हम नही ढूंढ पाते तो मन फिर उदास हो जाता है। लेकिन ऐसा क्यू होता है की मन में कोई प्रश्न नहीं ही,कोई कौतूहल नहीं है लेकिन दिल उदास रहता है... ना ही आपने किसी से बहस की, ना ही आपने झगड़ा किया लेकिन ये मन, ये दिल परेशान रेहता ही...॥ किसी से बात करना अच्छा नहीं लगता, किसी का प्रश्न पूछना अच्छा नहीं लगता ,कुछ सुनने का दिल नहीं करता...... बस एक ही ख़्वाहिश रहती है की कमरे के किसी कोने में बेसुध बिखर जाऊ, बिस्तर में शिथिल होता जाए ये काया , अंधेरा हो और सन्नाटा... ऐसी शांति जो दिल में उठे तूफान को शांत कर दे...जब आप स्वयं से पूंछे कि कुछ तो बताओ क्यु मुंह लटका के बैठे हो, तो उसका जवाब आपके पास स्वयं न हो...जब भी ये दिल उदास होता है, क्यू कोई आस-पास होता है...लेकिन कुछ समय ऐसा भी होता है जब आप अकेले रहना चाहते है, रोना चाहते है… कोई तर्क, कोई ज्ञान उस स्थिति को व्यक्त नहीं कर पता...

इस विषय पर मुझे स्वामी विवेकानन्द कि एक सीख याद है जिसमे उन्होने कहा;-

 “you have no right to  spread the sorrow in already ridden world by taking out your gloomy and sorrowful face, if you have such, then shut yourself in a room”…

लेकिन आज के समय में शायद यह संभव नहीं है, यदि आप कही ना जाये तो समाज, आपको आसामाजिक घोषित कर देगा और अगर आप गए तो ढेरो प्रश्न...

बस मेरा मन भी एक ही उत्तर ढूंढ रहा है ...ऐसा होता है, तो होता क्यू है।कोई ये तो बताये...
