  मैं बहुत पहले ठोकर खा कर गिर चुका   था। जो बाद में उठकर भागा , वो मैं नहीं था।                 मानव कौल रचित "बहुत दूर , कितना दूर होता है " जब स्मृति जी ने उपहार स्वरूप भेजा तो मैं थोड़ा था अचकचाया   क्योंकि पुस्तक के   पृष्ठ   पर जिस व्यक्ति का चित्र था वो व्यक्ति मुझे देखा-देखा सा लग रहा था। फिर सहसा याद आया कि ये तो "तुम्हारी सुलू" फिल्म (वही "बन जा तू मेरी रानी" गाना फेम) के अभिनेता है। आप यकीन कीजिए तब तक मुझे नहीं मालूम था कि उन महोदय का नाम मानव कौल है और तिस पर यह कि ये नामी लेखक हैं जिनकी 3 पुस्तकें प्रकाशित हो चुकी हैं।  " बहुत दूर , कितना दूर होता है" से पहले मानव की   "ठीक तुम्हारे पीछे , “ प्रेम   कबूतर” और “तुम्हारे बारे में” पहले प्रकाशित हो चुकी हैं ।     " बहुत दूर , कितना दूर होता है" लेखक की 2019 में की गई एकल यूरोप यात्रा   का   यात्रा व्रतांत   है। पुस्तक कि शुरुवात दो बच्चों के एक लघु वार्तालाप से होती है और फिर पूरी पुस्तक आपको लंदन से शुरू होकर , फ़्रांस , स्विट्ज़रलैंड , जर्मनी के छोटे शहरों जैसे An
